We have extended the deadline to October 26th to take advantage of the beautiful weather!
This virtual event will allow participants to complete the race on their own or together as a team. You will walk or run the distance WHEREVER and WHENEVER YOU WANT as long as you have completed the event before OCTOBER 26, 2020. You choose your own day, your own starting line and your own route; it can be a park, treadmill, or your favorite trail. Choose from a 1-mile walk/run or a more challenging 5k. And of course, your pups are welcome to join in on the fun.
It is unsafe during these days of distancing and closures for us to provide a specific time or route for everyone to use, but this allows anyone from around the country, around the world, to participate in this event with you. We only ask that you choose a safe route, practice appropriate distancing, and encourage your friends, wherever they may be, to join you. We also encourage teachers and parents to consider this fundraiser when coordinating natural learning experiences for their school age children and teens. We’d be happy to help with ideas.
Walkers:
Please get out and walk with your friends, family, pooches, cats, whoever! Walk a distance at your own pace and at a time and location of your choosing. Then take a picture or video of yourself or your team or your pooch either wearing or holding your race bib and send them to us.
Runners:
The honor system will be in place for completing the event. We ask participants to send us their finish time so we have a results page.
Once you have signed up, you will receive a customized printable race number along with specific instructions and rules on recording results and uploading pictures and videos. And of course, add a Lulu’s t-shirt! Visit our gear page to get one…(supplies are limited).

Photo / Video Contest
We also ask that you upload pictures and video clips to our website where we will be having an online contest. Voting will be open for Most Original Costume, Funniest Picture, Ecstasy, Agony, Most Instagramable, Most Distracting Course Views, Best Video Clip, and of course…CUTEST PUP submissions. Whether you are running with or in honor of, we encourage you to submit a photo of your pup.
All results, videos, and images need to be uploaded by October 15, 2020.
Contest voting will run October 20 - October 31, 2020
For $5/vote your friends, family, and fans can vote as often as they like in support of you and Lulu’s Rescue.
Awards
All finishers submitting results by deadline will receive a printable online ‘medal’.
Winners will receive a Lulu’s swag basket and the winning photos and videos will be shared on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages with over 13,000 followers.
